About me...

Born in Eustis FL. 1963, I grew up a tomboy (to say the least). I loved sports. At the age of 9, I tried out for the boy's little league baseball team and made 1st string. I played for 3 years. During middle school, I played on the softball and basketball teams. While at Mt. Dora High School, I played in several different sports, including: softball, volleyball, basketball, and track and field. Because of my athletic ability, I received 2 scholarships for softball and volleyball.

At the age of 12, I saw a picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger winning the Mr. Olympia competition. At that moment, I knew bodybuilding would become a part of my life. That Christmas my parents bought me my first set of barbells. During my junior year of high school, I became more serious about training and converted our garage into my own weight room. Over the course of a few years my body started becoming what I visualized. I was very lucky to have the support of my parents. I entered my first bodybuilding competition after my mom spotted it in the local newspaper. It was the Central FL. Bodybuilding Championship. I won 1st place in my division. This win inspired me to take on new challenges.

The following year, I tested my strength ability. I entered a WPAA (World Professional Arm Wrestling Association) competition in Leesburg, FL. Without any knowledge or prior experience of the sport, I still placed 2nd. With the help from a well trained and knowledgeable competitor, I learned the skills needed to win the following year. From that year on, I was the WPAA and the AAA (American Arm Wrestling Association) FL. State Champion for 7 consecutive years. This title made me eligible to compete on the national level. Throughout this time, I continued to compete in bodybuilding competitions. In 1986 I won the Southwest FL. Bodybuilding Championship held in Tampa, FL. Also, in 1987 I placed 3rd in the York Classic in Orlando, FL. With a majority of competitors using steroids, staying natural would make going to national level very difficult. Steroid use was not an option for me, so I stopped competing in bodybuilding and pursued power lifting.

In 1988 I received my ISSA-CPR Certification. Then in 1991, I entered my first FL. State Bench Press Competition held in Tampa, FL. I benched 170 lbs., weighing in at 114 lbs. and won my class. Then I went on to win the 1995 Galaxy Gym State Bench Press Competition in Leesburg, FL., benching 175 lbs. and weighing in at 116 lbs. I received the overall Best Lifter Award.

Winning these competitions has fulfilled part of my dream. Sharing my passion for bodybuilding and fitness with everyone, fulfills the other. At 45, I'm in better shape now then when I was competing in my 20's- both in size and strength. Because of my experience in nutrition, different eating habits, unique methods of training, and along with 12 years of studying nutrition, I'm able to keep my body fat between 8%-10%. I no longer have to do any cardio to stay lean. I feel by accomplishing this, along with the knowledge I have gained throughout the years, my clients see their personal goals achieved faster than ever before!!
